New Terminal 2

New Terminal 2

On my recent trip to the US, I’ve ended up spending more time at the Munich airport than expected:

“Your flight got cancelled but there is another connection in five hours.”

So I took a roll of Kodak Tri-X 400 and strolled around the airport to kill some time. The second, new building of Munich’s Terminal 2 offers some nice architecture, leading lines and reflections and in my experience it’s often not overly crowded. It’s worth to have a look or two.

I’ve developed the film at home in Rodinal 1+50, pushing it by one stop from ISO 400 to ISO 800 following the instructions on Massive Dev Chart. For “scanning” I’ve used a Canon 100L macro lens on a full frame DSLR. For me an ideal setup for 35mm film and still kind of useful for 120 rolls. Inverting and final adjustments in Lightroom.
