Blizzard in New York
“It must be awesome to experience New York during a blizzard!”
I’ve always been fascinated by the thought of experiencing a blizzard in New York and it happened in 2017 that I had the opportunity to visit the city two times in February and March. Both times, a Blizzard came and the city that never sleeps was put into hibernation.
It was a great experience. The city slows down. Offices, stores and public transport may close down. I’ve learned that you want to wear waterproof shoes while stepping over and into deep puddles.
And I’ve learned that a Hasselblad’s focusing screen takes about one week to fully dry.
I have transparent plastic bags in my photo back pack since then.
